Gift Certificates

A customer can buy gift certificates, which can be used to pay for any products in your shop. They can be used multiple times until the amount is used up.

You can create your own unique gift message using a plain text editor such as notepad. Each recipient of the gift certificate will receive both the merchants message and the senders message.

The merchant can control gift certificates by specifying use-by dates, a maximum amount value and whether to activate them automatically.

Certificates can be automatically or manually activated on purchase. If they are manually activated the merchant must simply update one field in the gift certificate record after verifying payment has been made.

Discount Coupons

Any number of different coupons can be created by the merchant. They can provide a discount to a specific product, a category of products or all products. The merchant can control discount coupons by specifying a start date, an end date and a limit to the number of uses.

Affiliate System

This allows you to associate sales you are making with specific affiliates or distributors. VP-ASP records from which other site a customer came to your site. This system provides you with detailed reports on the number of visits, number of sales, commission and automatic registration of the affiliate.

Mailing Enhancements

The standard VP-ASP bulk mailing facilities are enhanced to allow HTML formatted mails. Personalized bulk e-mail can be sent by merging information from the database with a mailing template that you create.

At the end of an order, you can create a list of people to be mailed in addition to the normal customer and merchant e-mails. Any number of e-mails can be sent on the completion of the order. For example you could e-mail the sales department, shipping department and your mobile phone. Each e-mail can use a different template.

Customer Product Reviews and Comments

Customers can review and make comments on any product. The merchant can optionally be mailed each time a review is made. Review averages can be automatically displayed when a product is displayed.

Project Payments

Use your shop to collect payments for non product services such as consulting and eBay auctions.

Order Tracking

Merchants can write messages to customers regarding delivery or shipping. Customers receive e-mail and can view order tracking messages using the VP-ASP service center.

Messages can be hidden from customers and be directed to departments within the organization. Full database logging of all messages shows a complete "conversation" or status of the order.

Bulk Importing

Products, categories and any other table can be imported into the VP-ASP tables. Field matching for individual tables can be selected per table.

Gift Registry

For Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Christmas Wish Lists and general events. Customers can select items from your Internet Store for friends and family to purchase.

Modify the registry at any time by adding or deleting items. View which items have been bought and which remain. Ship to yourself, your partner or to a third party. Automatically sends thank you notes on each purchase, with a personalized message that you create. Notifies you of each purchase.

PIN Number

The PIN number enhancement sends information to customers such as PIN numbers or other information. It is used primarily to sell phone cards on the Internet but can be used to send other unique product details.

• At the end of an order, a PIN number is allocated to each product purchase and e-mailed to the customer.
• The PIN Number is then marked 'used.'
• PIN Numbers are included in the merchant confirmation.
• When PIN numbers reach a low level, a warning is sent to the merchant.
• When PIN Numbers reach a critical level another warning is sent to the merchant.

Recurring Billing

The recurring billing facility adds the option to sell products such as subscriptions, which require that you bill the customer on a periodic basis such as weekly, monthly or yearly. Billings can be set-up automatically when a customer purchases a product from the shop, or can be manually created.

The facilities of the recurring billing system include:

Points Rewards

VP-ASP Rewards allows the merchant to offer a loyalty system.

The customer accumulates points by buying goods at your store. At some point the customer can redeem all or some of their points. The Rewards system has the following features:

• Points can be converted to gift certificate or discount coupon
• Conversion rate of points to currency is set by the merchant
• Customer can select the number of points to be converted
• Customer can review number of points available to be converted
• Mail is sent to both customer and merchant when a conversion is made
• Merchant adds/removes points
• Anti Hacker checks and order validation is included

The merchant must decide on type of reward, coupon or gift certificate. Only one type of an award is allowed in a shop. The merchant decides the conversion rate of points to currency.
